WHO WE ARE

ElectIQ is an electronic voting platform operated by Mannes Technology Consulting, S.L., based in Barcelona, Spain.

We comply with:

  • - General Data Protection Regulation ((UE) 2016/679 – GDPR)
  • - Ley Orgánica 3/2018 (LOPDGDD)
Depending on how our platform is used, we may act as a Data Processor (on behalf of an organization running an election) or solely as a technology provider.

HOW WE PROCESS DATA

ElectIQ operates in three different service modalities:

Modality 1 - Managed Voting

We process voter contact details (name, email, phone number) exclusively to:

  • - Notify voters about elections
  • - Provide secure access
  • - Ensure election integrity
We act as Data Processor under the instructions of the organization conducting the election.

We do not use voter data for marketing or unrelated purposes.

Modality 2 - Anonymous Link Distribution

We do not collect, store, or access any voter personal data.

Uses of the service distribute anonymized voting links directly to voters.

Modality 3 – On-Premise Installation

Our software is installed on the client’s own infrastructure.

We do not access or process voter data. The client acts as the sole Data Controller.

VOTING PRIVACY & SECURITY

All voting processes are:

  • - Fully anonymized
  • - End-to-end encrypted
  • - Encrypted at rest
  • - Technically designed to prevent linking votes to identities

Audit logs are retained only for integrity and security purposes and cannot reveal voter identity or voting choices.

DATA RETENTION

  • - Voting data is retained according to client instructions (default: 1 year).
  • - After this period, data is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
  • - Voter contact data (Modality 1) is retained only as necessary to conduct the election.

DATA LOCATION

  • - All servers are located within the European Union.
  • - We use EU-based cloud providers only.
  • - We do not transfer personal data outside the EEA.

COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

  • - We do not use cookies for voters.
  • - For the election organizer, we use local storage exclusive for functional purposes.
  • - We do not track, profile, or contact users.

YOUR RIGHTS

If ElectIQ processes your data on behalf of an organization, please contact that organization to exercise your GDPR rights.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish supervisory authority (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).

UPDATES

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal or operational changes. The latest version will always be available on our website.
